    Here is my scenario...

    1. Applied my first EAD thru some lawyer (hence G-28)
    2. I am planning to renew it on "my own"

    Can I renew EAD without Attroney help... I know the answer "YES" but the main question is... do I need to inform USCIS saying that I want to withdraw my lawyer's and hence G-28 which was filed along with my first EAD?

    If anyone are sucessful, please help me...My question is not on how to self apply EAD..My question is whether we need to inform USCIS about G-28...

    Hi,

    My I-140 was approved in May and I am still waiting for I-485 approval. I filed in August 2007 concurrently and my Priority Date is June 2004.

    I thought that concurrent filing will also mean concurrent approval, but may be this is not the case. Otherwise should I call NSC and ask them about it (whats the best way to call them ?)

    There are instructions on your original letter from the IRS telling you that your application for an ITIN number was granted. I believe you need a copy of that letter and a copy of your ssn to send back to them. If you cant find instructions send me a private message and I will pull my letter out for you.

    Does anyone know or have experience for visa stamping in Canada. My wife needs to get F1 stamp. She came to USA on H4 visa, applied for F1 status. It got approved and now I want to get F1 stamp.

    As suggested by pappu/starsun, this supporting thread provides impacted members with additional information and tools to help the initiative.

    As pappu stated in the first post of the above referenced thread - some of the ongoing efforts include finding how many IV members would get benefit from such a provision and get basic details such as username/Priority Date of impacted members. Future action items might include drafting documents and letters to support this provision. There maybe actions such as sending emails etc. However we would not be able to open a public action item unless we can have thousands of our members willing to participate in a grassroots action item. This survey intends to understand the needs of our membership for this provision and collect grassroots information.

    The fact is we have a dedicated group of volunteers (and we need more) who have been trying their best to spread the message about this initiative so that a strong grass-roots support can be created leading up to launch of the public action items. So far we have around 1100 people who have responded. Based on quick calculations carried out using PERM data, it is estimated that there are at least 60K-70K EB applicants waiting to file I-485/EAD/AP (this is a very conservative estimate..the actual number could be much more). Grass-roots initiatives require time and patience and we request maximum number of impacted folks to participate actively.

    Folks,
    I am trying to put together documents for my wife's 485 application. The birth certificate was re-issued a couple of years back (with corrections to her mother's name and including her last name which was missing earlier).

    The lawyer says we need to put a good reason down for 'why a corrected birth certificate was not obtained until now'.

    Do you guys know of a good reason to provide USCIS? Know of any reason which was accepted in case of your friends?

    Please do advise. Thanks!

    My H1B Visa stamp expires in Jan 08 but H1B Status expires Sept 08. Is it too early to get a new H1B stamp 4 months before expiration of the H1B stamp I currently have.

    I am planning to go to Ottawa now for a stamp that expires in Sept 08.

    Visa stamp doesnt define your legal status or your stay period ,it is the latest I 94 . Visa stamp is only required when u travel outside the country.
